If you choose Røverdalen Student Village, you will move into brand-new homes built to a high standard. This student housing is centrally located just down from the Gjøvik campus. You will live in a modern and safe environment with easy access to the campus and city life.

Live in a shared apartment

Live with others without giving up your privacy. At Røverdalen, you’ll stay in brand-new student housing with great shared spaces, your own bathroom, and room for studying, downtime, and social life.

New and modern

Røverdalen Student Village is designed for students in Gjøvik. You will live in modern surroundings with good communal areas, social spaces and an inclusive living environment. Choose between shared housing or a place of your own. The student village consists of 240 units with a wide variety of housing options, including 16-person shared housing with private bathrooms, studio flats and one-bedroom flats.

Close to campus and town centre

Røverdalen Student Village is ideally located between the Gjøvik campus and town centre. You will have the best of both worlds by being close to lectures, reading rooms and campus life as well as shops, cafés and local services. The central location makes everyday life easier no matter whether you are going to a lecture, meeting friends or simply enjoying the urban life in Gjøvik.

You can secure your student housing without major upfront costs. If you are not admitted to a study programme, you can terminate your tenancy agreement before moving in – easily and predictably. Internet is included in your rent.

Key

The student housing has mobile key.

Letterboxes

The letterboxes for Heimdals gate 16 and 18 are situated on the ground floor of Heimdals gate 16.

Waste disposal

There is a shared outdoor waste station with containers for:

  • General waste
  • Cardboard and paper
  • Food waste
  • Plastic
  • Glass and metal

Please sort your waste correctly. It makes things easier for everyone.

Storage rooms

There are no separate storage rooms at the student village. There is storage space in the cupboards and under the beds.

Ski waxing room and ski storage lockers

There is a ski waxing room at Heimdals gate 16, where 26 ski storage lockers are available for rent.

  • You need to provide your own padlock.
  • To rent a ski storage locker, please contact the Housing Office via My Page in the housing portal.

Car parking

There is paid parking in the basement at Heimdals gate 16. This car park is managed by Gjøvik municipality. Contact Sit Bolig via the contact form for further information.

Bicycle parking

There is a covered, two-storey outdoor bicycle parking facility, with arrangements for charging electric bicycles/electric scooters. Batteries for electric bicycles/electric scooters should not be charged inside the student housings.
All bicycles must be labelled with a valid permit sticker.

  • You can get a permit sticker at the housing reception at Teknologiveien 22 (G building).
  • Bicycles without a permit sticker may be removed without notice.

Laundry

There is a shared laundry with washing machines and clothes driers on the ground floor at Heimdals gate 16.

  • You pay for washing machines with Airwallet (see user instructions in the laundry)
  • You can use clothes driers free of charge.
