Remember to sign the new contract

Everyone who lives with Sit and wants to continue living in the fall must sign new contract no later than April 30th. 

The contract you have signed with Sit expires on 31.07.2026. If you wish to continue living here in the autumn, and you still meet the requirements to live in student housing, you must sign a new contract with new terms no later than 30.04.2026. You can find the new contract with the new rental price from 01.08.2026, for your current rental property, on “My page” at bolig.sit.no

The absolute deadline for signing the new contract is 30.04.2026, but we recommend signing it well in advance. If you already know that you will not be studying in Gjøvik, Ålesund or Trondheim in the fall, you must decline signing the new contract on “My page” at bolig.sit.no

If you rent a parking space or storage room, the same applies to signing/rejecting signing a new contract for these as well.

Are you unsure whether you will be a student this autumn? Then we recommend that you sign the new contract. Remember that you only have a two-month notice period, and if, for example, you only want to stay until 05.08.2026, you can sign the new contract and then terminate the contract by 05.06.2026.

Are you considering switching to another housing through Sit? We still recommend that you sign the new contract, as you may not be able to book new housing before your current contract expires, and with that may lose the opportunity to move internally within Sit without notice period.

Do you want your partner to be the contract holder for the new contract? Changing the main tenant is done by yourself via "My page" on bolig.sit.no
