Apply for funding

Every year, Sit and the Welfare Council distribute NOK 2.3 million to student organisations in Gjøvik, Ålesund and Trondheim. The funding goes to student organisations that create meeting places, activities and opportunities for students to get involved.

Apply for funding for your student organisation’s events and activities.

You can now apply for financial funding directly through the new student organisations portal. You can also publish events, keep your organisation’s information up to date and find useful resources for student volunteering. Everything you need, all in one place.

Who can apply?

Your student organisation can apply for funding if:

  • it is run by and for students
  • it operates in Gjøvik, Ålesund or Trondheimm
  • it has its own organisation number and is registered with the Brønnøysund Register Centre

Application process

Applications are reviewed and funding is allocated by the Student Volunteering Finance Committee (FØK).
The usual processing time is around one month, but this may vary depending on the number of applications. You can track the status of your application on your student organisation pages. 

If you have any questions about the eligibility criteria for funding, please contact FØK at: fok@velferdstinget.no. 

You can also apply for activity support

Sit supports student organisations with coffee or gift cards from our cafés and canteens. The support can be used for events and activities that create welcoming spaces for students to come together. You can apply all year round, with at least two months between applications.

Søk aktivitetsstøtte fra Sit

Her kan dere søke aktivitetsstøtte fra Sit. Gjennom dette programmet støtter vi aktiviteter som drives av studentorganisasjoner.

Vi stiller følgende krav til dere som søker:

  • Du må representere en studentorganisasjon lokalt forankret i Trondheim, Ålesund eller Gjøvik.
  • Organisasjonen må bare være for studenter.
  • Organisasjonen må ikke ha mottatt aktivitetsstøtte de siste to månedene.
