Upgrading the shared apartments in Herman Krags veg

All private rooms and shared facilities on Herman Krags veg will be upgraded! Work starts on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Herman Krags veg 51, and will continue until the start of the autumn semester in 2026. The work will be carried out by Etto Bygg AS.

The working hours will be weekdays between 08:00 and 16:00, and it is estimated that three days will be needed per shared apartment.

Private rooms

In the private rooms, beds and desks will be replaced, a shelf will be installed above the bed, a shelving unit at the end of the existing wardrobe, and a mirror with hooks behind the door. The door to the dormitory will also be replaced.

Shared kitchens

In the kitchen, a wardrobe shelving unit and a pegboard will be installed. The door to the shared apartment and the bathroom door will be replaced.

Digital lock

Digital locks will be installed on both shared apartments and rooms, using the same chip you currently use for the building's entrance door. Guidance for locking system

Mailboxes

With the transition to digital locks, these will be unlocked from now on. You may choose to add your own, shared padlock.

Changes in the schedule may occur. You will receive notification approx. 14 days before work starts in your building.

These addresses are finished: Herman Krags veg 53, 51, 49 and 47.

Day 1 before 8:00 a.m.

• Clear everything from the desk and the drawer unit, as the desk will be replaced. The new desk does not have drawers.
• Clear the area around the wardrobe so there is space to install a shelving unit at the end of the existing wardrobe.
• Take down pictures and other items from the wall above the bed so that a shelf can be installed.
• Clear the wall/area behind/by the door and prepare for the installation of a mirror with hooks.
• Clear the kitchen so it is accessible for the workers. Pegboard will be installed.

Day 2 before 8:00 a.m.

• Remove bedding (duvet, pillow, and sheets) from the bed, clear the floor, and prepare for the installation of a new bespoke bed with a width of 120 cm. If you have placed your privately owned bed in the room, it must be removed, and the bed that belongs to the room must be returned.

Day 3 before 8:00 a.m.

• Clear the common area so it is accessible for the workers. Wardrobe rack will be installed.
