Alarm central

A student sits on the couch and holds a cell phone in his hand to call the alarm central operated by Securitas.

Open from 3.00 PM – 8.00 AM. + weekends

As a tenant with Sit, you should feel safe. We have an agreement with the security company Securitas, which is staffed around the clock. They act as our alarm central outside our opening hours when various (crisis) situations occur. Examples include:

Fire alarm triggered by accident
If you or someone else accidentally triggers the fire alarm, for example while cooking, you must immediately call the alarm center phone to avoid a response fee.
Note! Tenants in Gjøvik must call Fire Department 110 (direct notification to the fire service) to avoid a response fee.

Noise outside quiet hours
Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM every day. If you experience disturbing noise in the student village or housing after this time, you can call the alarm central. A security guard will respond to identify the cause, and the person responsible for the noise will be charged for the call-out. There is no cost for the tenant reporting the issue.

Lost/forgotten key
If you have lost or forgotten your key, you can call the alarm central for help with unlocking. Please note that assistance with unlocking outside our opening hours will incur a cost charged to the tenant.

Other
Situations where you can call the alarm central include, for example, a major water leak or unauthorized visitors in the student village/-houses.
