Preparedness and risk

Our suppliers form an important part of Sit’s preparedness and play a key role in how we prevent, manage and cope with to various crises.

The products, services and solutions we procure must help reduce risk and strengthen our preparedness. This also applies to agreements with suppliers that provide critical expertise, goods, and services during crisis situations.

Risk and Dependency Assessments

In all procurement processes, we assess our dependence on suppliers and deliveries, as well as identify risks and vulnerabilities associated with the procurement and agreement.

We identify our needs in different crisis scenarios and set corresponding requirements for our suppliers. Examples of these include:

  • response times
  • inventory and stockholding
  • availability and capacity
  • insurance coverage
  • backup solutions
  • emergency preparedness procedures

Collaborating to reduce vulnerability

We collaborate proactively with our suppliers to reduce vulnerabilities and mitigate the impact of crises and unforeseen events.
