Our student kindergartens use pedagogical documentation to illustrate progression throughout the kindergarten year.
As we learn at a different pace, the documentation we create helps to illustrate the processes and progress throughout the year. At our student kindergartens, our work is process-oriented rather than theme-based or on set projects. We explore common groundtogether with the entire department by listening, creating good meeting places and a playful community. Pedagogical documentation forms the basis for a pedagogical focus that we post on the parent network at least every second month.
When we work with a pedagogical focus, we gather all the ideas and decide what we want to learn more about next month, based on what has engaged or provoked the children, parents and educators. This happens in a process throughout the year and contributes to both individual and collective learning. At the end of the kindergarten year, each department prepares an annual assessment highlighting the learning processes throughout the year.
