Our objectives and guidelines

The Kindergarten Act and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child provide clear guidelines for the core values we work by at our kindergartens.

The Framework Plan for Kindergartens and relevant theory provide us with a solid foundation for understanding and implementing the tasks we have been assigned. The kindergartens’ annual plan should detail how we translate the objectives and content of the framework plan into practice. The annual plan clarifies and states the reason for our choices, while providing information about the kindergarten’s pedagogical work to authorities, parents, collaborators and other interested parties. Moreover, it should be a tool for our educators in their day-to-day work to ensure that we continuously reflect on and assess the tasks at the student kindergartens.

Special services for student parents

We set high standards to provide a good service for the children at our student kindergartens. In addition to the regular kindergarten provision, we offer various welfare services to student parents to make their everyday student life easier.

Roles and responsibilities of the staff

Everyone who works with the children at our student kindergartens is an educator. While our staff have different roles and responsibilities, they share the responsibility for creating a holistic pedagogical approach and manner within the department.
