Dragvoll Student Kindergarten offers a creative and good learning environment in a beautiful setting beside a forest. Featuring its own cook, vegetable garden, workshop and large outdoor area, the kindergarten is the ideal place for children to wonder, explore and be creative.

In Trondheim, we own and operate two student kindergartens – Dragvoll and Moholt – offering approximately 250 places for children aged 0-6.

Child-centred approach

Children at Dragvoll Student Kindergarten are considered competent individuals with their own needs, wishes and thoughts. We treat everyone with respect and equality and value good parent-kindergarten cooperation with the child in focus.

The student kindergarten offers varied and inspiring areas both indoors and outdoors. The children will find exciting materials here to encourage wonder, exploring and playing together. We have a strong focus on mastery, diversity and inclusion.

Outdoor activities

As the kindergarten has a large outdoor area with varied terrain and even our own forest, we don’t need to rely on transport to reach forests and open spaces. We often do activities where the children are active and interact with nature. The kindergarten has an outdoor group with space for 12 children aged 4-5.

Departments

The student kindergarten has two departments, which are divided into five groups. These are named after places in our local area: Kleiva, Bekken, Månen, Dammen and Toppen.

We have a conscious attitude towards waste sorting and recycling and are under Sit’s Eco-Lighthouse certification.

Food

The student kindergarten has its own cook who serves oatmeal porridge for breakfast and a hot lunch five days a week. The children are involved in growing vegetables and herbs in a garden we have developed at the kindergarten.
