Do you want to start exercising in a safe and supportive way? Join our Get started training group and build confidence step by step.

Course information

  • Duration: 6 weeks

  • Places: 15

  • Price: Free

If you’re new to exercise, or want to get into a workout routine but aren’t sure how to begin, this group is for you.

The Get started training group is designed to help you feel comfortable with training in a friendly, social environment where everyone starts at the same level. With a maximum of 15 participants, the instructor has plenty of time to provide individual guidance and support.

Over the six weeks you’ll be introduced to a variety of exercises for strength, endurance, and mobility. You’ll always be able to train at your own pace and according to your own abilities.

Participation is completely free for students, and you don’t need a Sit gym membership to join. After you sign up, we’ll invite you to an informal introductory chat to get to know you better and make sure the group is the right fit for you.

Please note: To create a consistent and supportive group, we ask that you only register if you’re able to attend most of the sessions.

Course leaders

  • Svala is the project leader and training instructor. She holds a Master’s degree in Physical Activity and Health from NTNU and has several years of experience with personal training, group sessions, and lifestyle change programmes for different audiences. She will help you adapt the sessions to suit your needs, level, and student life. Her passion is to help students experience a sense of achievement through physical activity, gain more energy in daily life, and enjoy a better study experience.
