English in Nissekollen Kindergarten

SiT Barn now offer children to learn English, in addition to Norwegian in Nissekollen Kinderkarten. We make it easier for parents to concentrate on teaching their children their native language.
Green goes well with my paper. Then I`ll take red. I think I will choose pink.

Research shows that children learn other languages better if they have good knowledge of their native language.

A lot of the parents of bilingual children at SiT Barn choose to mix English and their native language when talking to their children because the families won’t be staying in Norway. Many of the international families either go back to their home countries or move to English speaking countries after they finish their studies. This means that the children not only learn their native language poorly, but they are also worse off when it comes to being able to learn a second language. Therefore, parents should speak their native language and support and encourage their children’s development of the language.

By offering the children to learn English in kindergarten, in addition to Norwegian, SiT Barn makes it easier for parents to concentrate on teaching their children their native language.
