Want to make a difference for inter-national students?

In 2009 SiT conducted a survey among international students in Trondheim, in order to map their general health and well-being, with specific focus on their psychosocial situation, i.e social and psychological factors.

A team with representatives from NTNU, HiST, DMMH, (staff and students) VT, ISU, ICOT, the Municipality of Trondheim and SiT, has now worked out an Action plan in order to improve the inclusion and welfare of all international students during their stay in Trondheim.

The Action plan challenges both universities, Norwegian and international student organisations to implement the proposed actions! To support the follow-up SiT has released economic funds for student organisations to apply for!

Please note that the Action Plan gives priority to three (3) selected actions, but also opens for funding of other described actions!

The application must include:

  • Name, member, latest economic balance and earlier activity information of the applying student organisation
  • Description of what action you are applying for (reference to “Action Plan”)
  • Why / how the action or activity will contribute to increased inclusion of int. students
  • Time frame of the action / activity
  • Information on who will be involved and responsible for the action / activity
  • A budget, - amount split down to single elements

It will also be possible to apply for supplementary- or new actions at a later stage, and will be duly announced.

Deadline: November 15. 2010
